Writer and broadcaster Theo Delaney asks famous football fans to select the eight goals that defined their lives. Fusing sporting nostalgia with autobiographical detail and emotional poignancy, this is like a footballing Desert Island Discs. Series one features top names from broadcasting, comedy and podcasts including Nick Hancock, Kevin Day, Talksport’s Paul Hawksbee and Athletico Mince’s Andy Dawson.

Theo Delaney’s long and varied career in the media takes in journalism, film directing, broadcasting and the creation of all kinds of branded content.

In 2017 he was the creative director of the widely lauded White Hart Lane Finale show that marked Tottenham Hotspur's move from their home of 118 years and was broadcast live to a global audience.

He has directed hundreds of TV commercials all around the world and his work has been recognised at The Cannes International Advertising Festival, D&AD Awards, British Television Advertising Awards, Sports Business Awards and Creative Circle.

He began his career as a journalist writing for publications like FHM, The Guardian, Campaign and Creative Review. He was the News Editor of Direction Magazine at the age of 21.

He continues to write articles, and devise and content for a variety of brands and organisations.

But he is now perhaps best known for his much loved ‘Life Goals with Theo Delaney’ podcast in which well known football fans relive the defining goals of their lives. He is also a regular presenter on ‘The Spurs Show’ and plays music on ‘The Jonny Friendly Radio Show' every Saturday morning.
